Job Description

Our client, a Acute Care Medical Facility company, is looking for a RN ED Main for their Cincinnati, OH location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals.
  • The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • care is provided based on the concepts inherent in the model of care for Client which promotes an on-going partnership between patients and families and the team of healthcare providers.
  • The care is culturally based and age specific.
  • The RN adheres to American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and to the scope of practice described in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
  • Ed main:
  • Specializing in adult cardiac care and complex internal medicine, Client 33-bed emergency department includes some of the most experienced and trusted emergency care specialists in the area, including: board-certified emergency medicine physicians, trauma surgeons, nurses, physician assistants and social workers.
  • The department has a high acuity patient population and an all-RN nursing staff.
  • It's a fast-paced environment and requires excellent critical thinking skills.
  • The RN demonstrates the knowledge, abilities, and skills to provide age and culturally specific patient care and education.
  • The RN effectively communicates with peers, utilizes appropriate channels of communication and maintains absolute confidentiality.
  • The RN maintains competence and demonstrates evidence of continuing professional growth.
  • The RN demonstrates the ability to accept and implement change and the ability to work in a culturally diverse setting.
 
Requirements:
  • Diploma of Nursing.
  • Preferred Education:
  • BSN.
  • Ohio RN License or Compact.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
  • ACLS (American Heart Assoc.)
  • PALS (American Heart Assoc.)
  • Diploma of Nursing
  • BSN
  • Required certifications & licensure:
  • Ohio RN License or Compact.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
