RN - Emergency Department

18:00-06:30 3x12s Weekend and Holiday availability required. NO BLOCK SCHEDULING. Workers are required to float to areas of equal or lesser acuity if requested.

Job Summary

Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department (ED). Utilizes the nursing process—including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for patients and their families. Communicates pertinent patient and family information effectively to the healthcare team, identifies variances from patient goals, and implements appropriate solutions to support optimal patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience

• Clinical knowledge and analytical skills necessary to develop and implement effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide range of professional nursing services.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare personnel.
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience.
• Previous experience working in a Level II Trauma ED.
• Nursing degree.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active Michigan RN license.
