Job Title: RN – Endoscopy (Endo) Location: Salinas, CA - 93901 Department: Endoscopy / Case Management Support Shift: Variable (0630 – 2030) + On-Call (Weekdays & Weekends) Schedule: 36–40 hours/week (as per unit need) Role Overview We are onboarding a high-impact Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy to operate at the intersection of procedural care and discharge planning excellence. This role demands clinical precision, operational agility, and strong case management acumen to drive optimal patient outcomes across acute care settings. Key Responsibilities Perform utilization review and ensure medical necessity for patient care services Lead discharge planning initiatives, ensuring continuity of care post-discharge Collaborate cross-functionally with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams Monitor length of stay (LOS) and optimize care delivery workflows Facilitate patient and family education for post-hospital care Coordinate follow-up care, community resources, and specialty referrals Specialized Scope: Support NICU & Pediatric discharge planning when required Ensure appropriate follow-ups with primary care physicians and specialty programs Coordinate with Home Health Agencies and arrange DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate discharge instructions Unit Details 3 Recovery Bays 2 Procedure Rooms Cross-coverage: ICU, DI, OR (as needed) Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3 Required Qualifications Active RN License 3+ years acute care (Med/Surg preferred) 1+ year in Case Management / Utilization Review / Discharge Planning Endoscopy experience – Mandatory Recent Charge Nurse experience – Required Epic EMR experience: 6–12 months (within the past year)
