RN Float Pool

Our client, an Acute Care Medical Facility, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for their Float Pool in Cincinnati, OH.

Responsibilities:

• Assessment:

• Perform a holistic assessment of the patient's physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs.

• Identify and report abnormal data and changes in the patient's condition to the physician and charge RN.

• Utilize appropriate handoff methods to collaborate with other healthcare team members.

• Assess patient, family, and environment for safety risks and perform safety initiatives.

• Diagnosis and Planning:

• Utilize collected data to establish and prioritize individualized patient problems and needs.

• Prepare, coordinate, and revise the multidisciplinary plan of care with the patient and family.

• Communicate the plan of care using SBAR and handoff processes with all team members.

• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and make appropriate referrals.

• Implementation:

• Provide evidence-based, quality care based on assessed needs and standards of care.

• Perform and delegate nursing actions based on appropriate orders and critical thinking.

• Provide ongoing, individualized holistic patient and family education.

• Respond to emergency situations with controlled precision.

• Implement measures to prevent contamination and transmission of disease.

• Evaluation:

• Continuously evaluate nursing practice related to the plan of care and patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Knowledge, abilities, and skills to provide age and culturally specific patient care and education.
• Effective communication with peers and maintaining confidentiality.
• Competence and evidence of continuing professional growth.
• Ability to accept and implement change in a culturally diverse setting.
• Required Education: Diploma of Nursing.
• Preferred Education: BSN
• Required Certifications & Licensure:
• Ohio RN license or Compact.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
