Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool (ICU)

Location: Cincinnati, OH
Job Type: Contract | 8 Weeks | Local & Traveler Accepted
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: Every Other Weekend Required

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Float Pool supporting multiple critical care units, including MICU, SICU, and CVICU. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care experience, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to adapt to diverse patient populations and care environments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify changes in condition
• Communicate patient information effectively during handoffs and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Develop and prioritize individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with professional standards
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Respond effectively to emergency and critical care situations
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Continuously evaluate patient outcomes and revise care plans as needed
• Participate in care conferences, shift reports, and discharge planning activities
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements:

• Diploma in Nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Current Ohio RN License or Compact RN License required
• BLS Certification (AHA) required
• Strong critical care nursing skills and clinical judgment
• Ability to provide age-specific and culturally competent care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and professional nursing standards
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and work environments
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
