What Youll Do
- Provide nursing care to ICU patients using the nursing process.
- Assess patient needs and adapt communication and care approaches to each patient population.
- Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary groups using appropriate teaching strategies.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and interdisciplinary team.
- Delegate and manage nursing resources appropriately.
- Use patient data and clinical information to evaluate care and promote optimal outcomes.
- Document patient care using EPIC and perform other related duties as assigned.
What You Need
Required:- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- At least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- ICU experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) 12-month blue card certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer, software, and web-based application proficiency
- Sound judgment and strong interpersonal skills
Preferred:- Bachelors degree in nursing
- Certification in a clinical specialty area
