Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary

Provides comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients requiring continuous monitoring and life support. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized care for patients with complex, unstable conditions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

Education & Experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Minimum 1-2 years of critical care or med-surg nursing experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications
• Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required)
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (Preferred)

Key Responsibilities
• Performs continuous assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients, including hemodynamic and ventilator management.
• Administers medications, titrates vasoactive drips, and manages complex treatment plans per physician orders.
• Responds to emergent changes in patient condition, including cardiac and respiratory arrest.
• Collaborates with physicians, respiratory therapy, and other disciplines on plan of care.
• Provides education and emotional support to patients and families during critical illness.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and patient response in the electronic medical record.
