Position Title: RN Med Surg
Location: Portland, OR 97216
Duration: 13 weeks (Possible extension)
Work Schedule: 12 hours Days and Night.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret clinical data, and respond to changes in patient status.
- Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe environment.
To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]- Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License (or eligibility to practice in Oregon).
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience (travel experience preferred).
- Current BLS Certification (required).
- ACLS Certification preferred (or as required by the facility).
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Excellent teamwork, time management, and patient care skills.
