About the role

Northern Montana Health Care takes seriously its position as the premier hospital in North-Central Montana, serving several rural communities as well as two Native American reservations. As a nurse, you would become an integral part of our service to our neighbors, whether it’s delivering babies in our Labor and Delivery department, attending to the ill and injured in our Emergency, CCU and Medical/Surgical departments, or caring for and comforting the residents in our CMS 5-Star rated 135-bed long-term care center. We also are home to two clinics comprising specialties such as general surgery, family medicine, internal medicine, behavioral health, ophthalmometry, and orthopedics. In addition, we offer on-site Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments at the Sletten Cancer Center, and in-house dialysis services. As a new graduate, you would be offered two weeks of clinical training in long-term care, two more on our Medical/Surgical floor, and an additional week of training in each of these departments: ER, OR, ICU, Dialysis, Surgical Day Care, our clinics, and Hospice. Northern Montana Health Care provides a unique setting for new graduate RN’s to experience a vast array of clinical opportunities and to care for the entire age spectrum, from newborns to geriatrics. We value high quality, comprehensive care and a positive, professional working environment. Northern Montana Hospital has been listed as one of the top 100 rural hospitals by the Chartis Center for Rural Health. Your service here as part of the Northern Montana Health Care team would give you the opportunity to provide health care at its most diverse to a unique and precious population in a setting committed to excellence.

Graduate nurses will have the opportunity to begin their professional nursing career in a supportive environment committed to mentoring, coaching and learning. They will build confidence through a structured, professional transition-into-practice experience that is customized to individual developmental needs.
