Shift Details

Shift Type: Day 3x12-Hour (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)

Weekend Coverage Required: Yes (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Block Scheduling Required: Yes (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Position Overview

This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide weekend coverage in a busy surgical environment. The RN will be expected to competently circulate a wide variety of urgent and emergent cases, including orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification
• CNOR Certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Experience with the Epic charting system is required
• Preferred experience in a Level II Trauma Center

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in circulating a variety of surgical procedures, including:
• 
  
  • Abdominal and Vaginal Hysterectomy
  • Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF)
  • Craniotomy
  • Laminectomy and Discectomy
  • Spinal Fusion
  • And other general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases
• Ability to manage patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Patient Demographics

The RN will work with diverse patient age groups, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Additional Information

The RN may be required to float to nearby facilities and will be expected to comply with department needs. Must also commit to working three out of five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
