The unit supports both elective and emergency surgical interventions, serving a diverse patient population across pre-operative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and post-anesthesia recovery.Unit Capacity & Facility LayoutOperating Rooms: 3 fully equipped OR suites supporting general, specialty, and emergency surgical cases.Procedure Suites: 2 dedicated Endoscopy/Procedure rooms for diagnostic and therapeutic GI and minor procedural cases.Pre-Op / Outpatient Recovery: 14 private/semi-private bays tailored for pre-procedural intake, patient optimization, and Phase II discharge recovery.Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU): 13 dedicated Phase I recovery beds focused on critical post-sedation and post-general anesthesia stabilization.Patient Population & Scope of CarePediatric PopulationHigh-turnover procedural care paired with complex acute surgical recovery.Hemodynamic monitoring, airway management, pain/nausea control, and immediate post-operative complication prevention.Rapid turnover in pre-op preparation alongside specialized Phase I and Phase II recovery.On-Call RequirementsCall Coverage: Rotation includes weeknights and full weekend coverage to support emergency surgical and procedural needs outside standard operational hours.Response Expectation: Mandatory 30-minute call response time (staff must be physically present in the department within 30 minutes of notification).
