Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts | 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM | 2 Weekend Call Shifts & 2 Weeknight Call Shifts Per Month
Pay Rate: $50.00 – $53.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse – PACU to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions. The ideal candidate will have experience in Phase I and Phase II recovery and be proficient in caring for patients across multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients during Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery.

• Assess, monitor, and document patient status, vital signs, pain levels, and recovery progress throughout the post-operative period.

• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy while maintaining patient safety and following infection control standards.

• Care for patients recovering from Endoscopic, Laparoscopic, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Orthopedic Spine, and Total Joint procedures.

• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe patient transitions and optimal outcomes.

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, provide emergency interventions when necessary, and participate in scheduled weekday and weekend on-call coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Minimum one year of PACU nursing experience.

• Experience with Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery.

• Experience caring for Endoscopic, Laparoscopic, General Surgery, Orthopedic, Orthopedic Spine, and Total Joint patients.

• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV insertion.

• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• First-time travelers accepted.
