How you'll make an impact in this role:

The plastic and reconstructive surgery nurse position is a hybrid role that involves first-assisting in the operating room and patient care in the office setting. 

 

• Work with operating room staff to ensure necessary suture and instrumentation is ready for OR case.
• Ensure appropriate Preoperative Evaluation has been completed on patients including pre-anesthesia, imaging and any other required health clearance.

 

Clinic: (50% of role)

• Triage incoming patient phone calls and portal messages in a timely manner - document appropriately in EMR and ensure physician recommendation is properly communicated to patients.

What minimum qualifications you'll need:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
