SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform age-specific assessment and intervention for surgical patient during pre-operative and post-operative phase and provide post-operative/discharge instruction prior to discharge.
Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records and controlled substances logs.
Initiate physicians' orders.
Assist with anesthesia procedures in pre-op.
Maintains compliance with OSHA standards for healthcare facilities.
Participate in educational opportunities for professional growth and development.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
1 year general nursing experience, orthopaedics helpful
