RN Radiology PositionSummary Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence-based practice, focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance. Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Facilitate and CoordinateFocused Care 2. Complete Documentation of Care 3. Maintain Professional Development 4. Provide Education to patient and family 5. Act as Patient Advocate 6. Maintain Patient Safety 7. Other duties as assigned Work Contact Group (Internal/External) HMC employees, Providers, Patients and Family, Visitors Vendors Reporting Relationships Reports to (position): Nursing Coordinator Medical Imaging Supervises (position(s): Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelors Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date. Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: Minimum of three years experience in nursing Preferred: Acute care experience License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current NJ RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certification. Preferred: Certification in Radiology Nursing Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education. Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy, basic arrhythmia interpretation, vent training, critical care, conscious sedation, Bi-Pap/CPAP and EndTidal CO2. Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.
