What You'll Do

As a Special Care Nursery RN, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to neonatal patients while partnering closely with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care
• Providing skilled nursing care to newborns with specialized medical needs
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Educating and supporting families throughout their baby's care journey
• Accurately documenting care and maintaining regulatory and quality standards
• Delegating and coordinating patient care activities as appropriate
• Participating in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
• Cross-training within Postpartum and Pediatric units to support comprehensive family-centered care

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Minimum one year of acute care neonatal experience OR six months of experience in a Level III NICU or higher
• Demonstrated expertise in neonatal patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Neonatal ICU experience
• Additional experience within Women's and Children's inpatient services

Department Requirements

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification within 6 months of hire (required for all except Level III NICU caregivers)
