Logan Health in scenic Kalispell, MT, is looking for an experienced RN to guide patients through their cancer journey as our Oncology Nurse Navigator!

What you'll do:
As the primary point of contact after a new cancer diagnosis, you'll reduce uncertainty, remove barriers to care, and make sure patients never feel alone. Day to day, that looks like:

• Conducting intakes and needs assessments for new oncology patients
• Educating patients and caregivers in person, by phone, and (soon) via telehealth
• Coordinating appointments, testing, scans, and follow-up needs
• Tracking patients across the care continuum and catching missed appointments or new needs
• Collaborating with providers, social workers, and scheduling staff as part of a close multidisciplinary team
• Using motivational interviewing to help patients reach their health goals
• Contributing to quality improvement projects that shape how we deliver cancer care

Qualifications:

• Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana (required)
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years' oncology experience

- OR - 6 years' oncology related experience

• Oncology experience must have extensive experience providing care for oncology patients across cancer treatment modalities (e.g. surgery, chemo/immunotherapy, radiation, survivorship, end of life care).
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification or must be willing to obtain.
• Employees who meet Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) eligibility requirements at hire must obtain OCN® certification within 12 months. Employees who are not eligible at hire must obtain certification within 24 months of meeting ONCC eligibility requirements.
• Knowledge of professional practice standards and regulatory requirements for specialty care; experience with electronic health records
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and collaborate effectively with primary care and multidisciplinary teams

Shift:

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts. No weekends, no holidays. (Shifts are generally 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., but could vary slightly at times based on patient and program needs).

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
