Overview
A Cardiac Short Stay RN must be able to multitask and consistently deliver high quality care in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment. Keen assessment skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency are required as the RN cares for a variety of pre and post procedural cardiac patients. The RN works closely with the Cardiac Cath and EP Labs to prioritize care through assessment. The RN evaluates the patient''s response to care and keeps the patient''s family updated. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift and provides a seamless transition with the oncoming shift by ensuring a thorough handoff.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure
Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
Additional Skill/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. ACLS within one year of hire.
