Road Design Engineer - EIT (Civil 3D)

Our client, a respected multi-discipline civil engineering and surveying consulting firm in Metro Detroit, is seeking a Road Design Engineer to join its growing transportation group working on municipal, county, and state roadway projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare roadway plans, profiles, cross sections, and details for reconstruction and resurfacing projects
• Design geometrics, grading, drainage, and maintenance of traffic plans
• Develop quantities, cost estimates, and specifications
• Coordinate with road agencies, utilities, and project teams
• Support projects through plan review and construction phases

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification; PE track encouraged
• 1-5 years of roadway design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with MDOT and local agency standards preferred
