Road Freight Forwarder- Manchester (UK)

A well-established, family-run business with nearly 60 years of industry experience is looking for a skilled Road Freight Export Operator to join their Manchester team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone experienced in export operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring UK exports run smoothly and on schedule, working closely with European site and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Road Freight Forwarder- Key Responsibilities

• Manage UK road freight exports from order receipt through to delivery confirmation.
• Keep customers informed at every stage of their shipment and resolve any delivery issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and timely administrative records, ensuring all data is up to date.
• Collaborate with European offices to support and troubleshoot outbound delivery queries
• Apply your knowledge of customs procedures where needed to support smooth operations.

Road Freight Forwarder- Position Requirements

• Proven experience in road freight, export operations, or logistics.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with administrative tasks and data entry.
• Ability to work effectively with international teams and manage customer expectations.
• Understanding of UK and EU customs procedures is advantageous.

Road Freight Forwarder- Position Remuneration

• Competitive salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per year
• Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (flexible if required) - no weekend work
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays
