Your IT Recruiter is helping Toyota Research Institute find a Robot Teacher to demonstrate new behaviors for its robots to learn. In this role, you’ll be a key member of the team that does this instruction for the in -house robots. <\/span><\/div>

As a Robot Teacher, you will: <\/span><\/div><\/div>
Control robots via teleoperation devices to demonstrate a rich, dexterous, and varied curriculum of behavior.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>
Coordinate with other members of the teaching team and with the larger group to continuously improve processes for teaching.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>
Be creative! Help design new, interesting, and difficult behaviors to teach the company's robots.<\/span> <\/span><\/li>
Bring a safety -first approach to working with robots.<\/span> <\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div>

Commitment:<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/b>This is a full -time, ongoing contract position staffed via our client. This position will be onsite and available to candidates able to work 4 10 -hour days (M -Thur) and who are local to the Los Altos, CA area.<\/span><\/i> <\/div><\/div><\/div>

Requirements<\/h3>
Familiarity with computers and a curiosity about robots<\/span>
Physical dexterity, good hand -eye coordination, and familiarity with video games<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>
Attention to detail and a focus on safety are critical<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>
This role requires regular use of the Apple Vision Pro VR headset, and there are limits on the corrective lens inserts that can be produced; therefore, vision must meet the requirements for lens inserts<\/span> <\/li><\/ul>
Prior expertise in robotics, Linux, or the command line is not necessary (though you’ll gain some of these skills on the job)<\/span> <\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>
