Penmac Staffing is hiring a Robot Welder for a manufacturing facility in the Springfield area. This is a full-time opportunity working in a team-oriented production environment where quality, safety, and craftsmanship are valued. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions
- Ability to read measuring devices such as tape measures, hook rules, and protractors
- Must pass employer welding certification test
- Good attendance and safety record
- Must provide required welding tools
- Available to work overtime as needed
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous production welding experience
- Experience with robotic welding or NC equipment
- Experience operating lift tables, cranes, or hoists
- Carbon arc experience
Responsibilities
- Fixture parts and operate robotic welding equipment according to work instructions
- Finish weld parts to blueprint specifications
- Follow established welding procedures and AWS symbols and requirements
- Make program touch-ups as needed
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify quality standards
- Complete routine equipment maintenance and work area cleanup
- Assist with training new employees
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the production team
