Day in the Life
When your shift begins, you review the production schedule and prep the robotic weld cell. You load materials, position fixtures, verify machine settings, and run your first checks. As parts cycle through, you watch performance indicators, make routine adjustments to keep output steady, and complete in-process quality checks with gauges and visual inspection. Throughout the day, you document results, flag any defects, communicate equipment concerns to supervisors or maintenance, and perform light cleaning and preventive care to keep the cell operating safely and reliably. You wrap up by organizing your area so the next run starts smoothly.
About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on operator to run and set up robotic welding equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll help ensure every part meets safety, efficiency, and quality targets. If you have experience with automated machinery, industrial equipment, heavy machine operation, or welding—and you’re eager to learn robotic welding technology—you’ll be a strong fit.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and monitor robotic weld cells and automated production equipment to maintain consistent throughput.
- Set up machines for production runs: load materials, position parts/fixtures, and verify machine parameters.
- Track equipment performance and make routine adjustments to sustain efficiency and product quality.
- Inspect finished parts for weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine quality checks using measuring tools, gauges, and visual inspection methods.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues, production interruptions, and quality concerns.
- Complete routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep for safe, reliable operation.
- Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials while ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
- Follow established work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Communicate equipment problems, defects, and production concerns to supervisors and maintenance.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What You Bring
- Experience operating heavy machinery, automated manufacturing equipment, industrial production machinery, or robotic welding equipment.
- Welding knowledge or hands-on welding experience (preferred).
- Background in setting up, adjusting, or troubleshooting production equipment (a plus).
- Ability to perform visual inspections and follow established quality standards.
- Comfort using basic measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify equipment issues and make routine adjustments.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production specifications.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality parts.
- Capability to work in a manufacturing environment and meet the physical demands of the role.
