Roll-to-Roll Film Coating and Metallizing Operator

As a Roll-to-Roll Operator in our Coating or Metallizing area, you’ll run specialized equipment that applies precision coatings or metallic finishes to film substrates—keeping quality, safety, and uptime at the center of every shift.

A Day in This Role

Clock in and take charge of your line. You’ll set up and dial in machine parameters, thread web through rollers, and keep a vigilant eye on gauges, temperatures, and film behavior. Throughout the run, you’ll sample, test, and document results to ensure specifications are met. Between orders, you’ll execute efficient changeovers and complete thorough cleanups. You’ll move materials with carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts, and you’ll handle solvents and related supplies safely and by procedure.

Open Schedules & Pay

• Coating Operator — 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM | Pay: $21–$23 per hour + shift differential | Physical: Lift/move up to 65 lbs.
• Metallizer Operator — 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM | Pay: $21–$23 per hour + $2.75/hr shift differential | Physical: Lift/push/pull up to 85 lbs. | Overtime: ~1–2 weekends per month

What You’ll Do

• Set up, operate, and continuously monitor coating or metallizing machinery.
• Thread and align film through rollers; make routine mechanical adjustments as needed.
• Inspect product during and after runs; isolate and address defects.
• Conduct quality checks and basic testing to verify specifications.
• Perform changeovers and clean equipment between jobs.
• Stage, load, and move raw and finished materials using carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts when needed.
• Capture production data and complete electronic/printed documentation accurately.
• Follow all EHS procedures, including safe handling of solvents and related materials.

What You Bring

• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot routine issues.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
• Comfort following SOPs, work instructions, and safety rules.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Capability to meet the physical demands of the role selected.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• High school diploma or GED.
