- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1-3 years of machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read production instructions and perform quality inspections
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, and safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Roller Operator Responsibilities
- Start, operate, and monitor industrial rolling machines, ring rollers, or heavy compaction rollers
- Adjust machine controls including throttles, switches, and pedals as needed
- Feed, position, and guide metal parts, sheets, or composite materials through rollers to achieve required thickness, curvature, or surface finish
- Inspect finished products and measure dimensions using calipers, gauges, and visual inspections to ensure specifications are met
- Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections
- Lubricate moving parts and report mechanical malfunctions promptly
- Follow production schedules and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all OSHA guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
- Frequent lifting of materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and moving equipment
