Salary placement will be based on Douglas County Board of Education approved salary schedules and years of verified experience.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 246 Days (12 Months)FLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptREPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor/General Maintenance ForemanEDUCATION: High school graduate or GED preferred.CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: None. Certification in a construction trade preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift 70 pounds individually and move objects up to 140 pounds with assistance. Be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, feel, talk, hear, crawl, and have depth perception. Be able to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to weather including cold, hot, wet and high humidity. Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.PROFICIENT SKILLS: Follow written and oral instructions. Ability to troubleshoot and make all repairs to all types of roofing to include modified, TPO, shingled roofing, etc. Ability to troubleshoot and make all repairs to gutters and downspouts. Ability to read roofing specifications and drawings. Ability to make minor repairs in other general maintenance areas.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Maintain valid Georgia driver's license. 2. Perform a variety of repair tasks in roofing and roofing repairs. 3. Repairs various roofing types to include modified, TPO, shingles, etc. 4. Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems and makes repairs; performs preventive maintenance. 5. Maintain clean and organized work vehicle. 6. Maintain all equipment and tools. 7. Responsible for ensuring vehicle is serviced and all safety features are properly working. 8. Safely load, unload and secure all equipment, tools and other items to be transported, either by vehicle or trailer. 9. Schedule required work. 10. Responsible for procuring and returning material from/to stock. 11. Requisition neeed materials not stocked. 12. Report immediately safety hazards which affect the welfare of students and system employees. 13. Maintain records of all work requests. 14. Maintain safe work site. 15.
