CAP is currently looking for a Commercial Roofing Inspector with experience in the construction field. This position involves reviewing roofing applications for compliance with the code; performs roofing inspections and enforces roofing protocols. All candidates must be able to read, interpret, and apply a wide variety of technical information from manuals, drawings, specifications, layouts, blueprints, and schematics. Duties and Responsibilities: - Review roofing applications for compliance with the code; perform roofing inspections, and enforces roofing protocols.
- Documentation of daily construction activities.
- Interface with owner building officials and designers as appropriate.
- Meets and confers with applicants requiring plan review services for municipality building permits.
- Rejects incomplete or unsatisfactory application submittals.
- Meets with municipal, state, and federal government officials; concerning matters relating to building plan review and municipality building permits.
- Conduct inspections of construction foundations, alterations, repairs, remodeling, or demolition of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, wood construction and inspection of plumbing, heating, and electrical installations and the installation of building systems, when permitting is required, to ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code and any applicable local technical amendment to the Florida Building Code.
- Enforcement of project requirements and assuring that any non-compliance situations are detected and rectified.
