Position Summary: The Commercial Roofing Superintendent to play a crucial role in day to day operations to lead, oversee, collaborate with stakeholders and develop team members. This role is the primary onsite leader, setting standards for directing and coordinating all activities of a project. The Superintendent is instrumental in the overall success of the project and will work directly with many key stakeholders.
The Blueprint for Success - Key Responsibilities:
Develop project scopes, objectives and communication, involving all relevant stakeholders
Liaising with sales rep/estimators and operations management teams to ensure that the project design is accurate before work commences
Managing the work schedules and time cards for all field staff
Reviewing project progress to ensure that deadlines are met
Ordering and scheduling the delivery of all equipment needed for the project
Assist in scheduling and work with the Project Manager for creating punch lists or reports
Review roof vacuum needs and schedule with subcontractors
Investigating and resolving customer complaints
Ensure resource availability and allocation, including overall staffing needs
Acting as the main point of communication between the main field and the office
Review permit needs and make necessary steps to obtain permits
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Determine material placement and onsite needs for project
Measure project performance utilizing appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Provide on-site leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet key performance indicators (KPI)
Perform all work in strict accordance with scope, directions, specifications and OSHA rules, regulations and company policies
Conduct roof surveys and meet with clients to assess requirements, take measurements, photos, and collect data to be used in plan
Provide technical support and guidance to personnel as required
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, communicate project updates, and manage expectations to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to

Tools for the Job:
Required:
Roofing and/or construction knowledge
Proven experience in supervising field operations
Proficiency in Google, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and project management software
The ability to work in different environmental conditions
Strong leadership and communications skills
Excellent customer service skills
Conflict management and business negotiation experience
Valid Driver's License
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or three plus years as a Field Supervisor
Proficient in the safe handling and utilization of ladders
Working knowledge in the commercial roofing and/or construction industry
