An IHG Room Inspector ensures guest rooms meet high brand standards by meticulously checking cleanliness and quality after housekeeping cleaning. They verify rooms are "fresh and welcoming," covering everything from bed-making to bathroom sanitation, and report maintenance issues. Key duties include inspecting rooms, coordinating with staff, and updating room status. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control: Inspects guest rooms, including bathrooms, for cleanliness, sanitization, and compliance with IHG brand standards.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Identifies and reports maintenance issues, such as broken fixtures, malfunctioning equipment, or damages.
  • Coordination & Reporting: Updates the Room Management System/Front Desk with the status of rooms (e.g., Clean/Vacant) and ensures prompt turnover.
  • Team Leadership/Support: Assists in training new housekeeping employees, supervises staff, and ensures inventory is properly used.
  • Guest Experience: Ensures all in-room amenities are stocked and that the room meets a high aesthetic standard to ensure guest satisfaction.  Performs room attendant duties, when required. Performs other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Often requires previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar role.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail is essential to identify hair, dust, or sanitation issues.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety protocols (e.g., MSDS, OSHA), and experience with Property Management Systems.

·         High school diploma or equivalent. 
·         Two years prior hotel housekeeping experience.  Supervisory experience desired. 
·         Ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
·         Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
·         Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
