Summary

The Rooms Controller & Housekeeping Operations Supervisor serves as the central tactical hub of the rooms division. This hybrid supervisory role blends sophisticated inventory logistics (Rooms Controlling) with housekeeping operational coordination.

Grounded in Hyatt's purpose of care, you will keep floor operations, front office, and guest relations perfectly synchronized. We are seeking an agile, system-savvy problem solver who can lean heavily into data and logistics to anticipate occupancy, optimize room allocations, and lead a high-performing housekeeping team to uphold elevated standards of our guests.

Core Responsibilities

Rooms Controlling

Actively monitor real-time room availability, daily arrivals, out-of-order/out-of-service status, and extended stay requests.

Orchestrate complex room blocking, managing guest preferences to prevent overcommitments.

Maintain continuous communication with the Front Office to reconcile room requests and maximize clean-room availability; keeping time on the forefront.

Coordinate complex guest room moves smoothly, optimizing inventory flow and authorizing strategic upgrades to resolve maintenance conflicts or elevate the guest experience. Take over communication with the guests to alleviate pressure on the Front Desk.

Housekeeping Coordination/Supervision

Use PMS systems to build, assign, and track daily schedules, cleaning workflows, and special service orders for Room Attendants and Supervisors.

Serve as the primary operational link between Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Office, monitoring to expedite "rush" rooms and guest requests instantly.

Conduct room inspections to ensure cleanliness standards and guest expectations are met.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of upscale or luxury hospitality experience in Rooms Division (Front Office or Housekeeping).

• Supervisory, team lead, or senior coordinator capacity is preferred but not required.

• Wage range of $25-$27 per hour

Technical Expertise:

Strong, direct proficiency operating a computer and managing multiple programs at once.

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with a diverse workforce and clientele. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Flexibility: Open availability to work a varied schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support luxury operational cycles.
