W & J Trucking, INC. is a FedEx Ground contractor based at 814 Chesapeake Drive in Cambridge, Maryland. Drivers receive 4–5 days of paid training at the same daily rate as the job. Pay is weekly on Friday. Health coverage and seven days of paid vacation are available after six months. Routes cover Centreville, Chester, Wye Mills, Queenstown, Grasonville, and Stevensville.
The Job
You’ll deliver packages on rural and urban flex routes using company-provided vans, box trucks, cutaways, and step vans. Routes cover 140–150 miles and typically include 90–115 stops. The work includes loading and unloading packages, frequent bending and lifting, and getting in and out of the vehicle.
Drivers can earn bonus pay for extra stops or time. Six-day workweeks are paid at 1.5×.

Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift packages up to 150 lbs and frequently bend, lift, and maneuver in and out of the delivery vehicle, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively
- Prior courier or delivery experience is a plus
- Military and veteran applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
- Drivers should live within a 30-minute commute of the terminal
- No CDL required
- No prior delivery experience required — we'll train you
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment screening conducted after a conditional offer of employment.
Schedule
Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday.
Routes start between 8:45 and 9:00 AM and continue until route completion. The average workday is about 8 hours.
