The attendant at Rt. 88 Burgers and Brew requires a friendly and efficient person who can handle a variety of responsibilities. From customer service skills at the cash register to food preparation in the kitchen and stocking shelves. Must enjoy a fast-paced environment and be a team player.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate the cash register, processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues with a positive attitude. Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and sanitary work environment in the kitchen.
- Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and procedures. Will have a separate job code when working as a cook, at the cook payrate.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., ovens, grills, fryers).
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure timely preparation of food orders.
- Receive and unpack deliveries, verifying accuracy against invoices, assist with inventory counts.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise, maintain organized stock areas.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry moderate to heavy objects.
- Complete appropriate trainings listed on the human resources Training Matrix.
- Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission's safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources.
- Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training is provided.
