Brown Safety Consulting is seeking multiple qualified
Project Safety Consultants to support major construction projects throughout the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area.
Our consultants will provide field-based safety leadership, hazard recognition, compliance support, and project safety oversight across complex construction environments.
Project Types
Assignments may include:
- Data centers
- Educational and institutional buildings
- Central utility plants
- Pharmaceutical and life-science facilities
- Heavy civil construction
- Mechanical and electrical construction
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have:
- 3–5 years or more of construction safety experience
- Experience with heavy civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial construction
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
- Experience conducting site inspections, safety observations, audits, and corrective-action follow-up
- Ability to review and support AHAs/JHAs, permits, pre-task plans, and other safety documentation
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with general contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, and craft personnel
- A safety credential from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) or a related recognized credential, such as:
Local Atlanta-area candidates are preferred. Candidates must be able to work on active construction sites and comply with all project-specific safety, training, and access requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide daily field safety support and guidance
- Conduct inspections, observations, and safety audits
- Identify hazards and recommend practical corrective actions
- Verify that corrective actions are completed and documented
- Support toolbox talks, orientations, pre-task planning, and safety meetings
- Assist with incident and near-miss investigations
- Promote stop-work authority and a proactive safety culture
- Coordinate with project leadership and trade contractors
- Prepare clear and timely safety reports
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and project requirements
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a visible, solutions-oriented safety professional who can build trust in the field while maintaining strong safety standards. Experience with high-risk construction activities, energized work, lifting operations, critical lifts, excavation, confined spaces, electrical work, or commissioning is highly valued.
