The Safety Coordinator works closely with the HR Manager to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct new hire safety orientation and ongoing refresher training, including both classroom and hands-on instruction including the safe operation of company equipment
Investigate all workplace accidents and injuries.
Administer workers' compensation claims.
Maintain OSHA injury and illness records and prepare required regulatory reports in accordance with OSHA requirements.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Oversee the drive cam program by reviewing events and monitoring trends to improve driver performance.
Conduct periodic workplace safety inspections.
Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
Maintain training records, certifications, safety documentation, and regulatory files.
Coordinate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and company safety initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of experience in occupational safety, safety training, risk management, or a related field preferred.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and recordkeeping requirements
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Starting pay: $65,000 per year. Higher starting rates may be considered based on relevant experience, certifications and qualifications.
