Safety Coordinator

SAFETY COORDINATOR (Subcontractor Safety Documentation) Location: Nacogdoches, TX (On-site) Type: Contract (W2) | 40 hrs/week | Approx. 32 weeks Pay Rate: $45/hr Start/End (target): Week of Oct 26, 2026 through May 28, 2027 Reference: #209-Rowland Houston SUMMARY Seeking a detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to manage subcontractor safety documentation, track compliance items/expirations, and coordinate communication between subcontractors, project management, and safety personnel to ensure project safety records are complete and current. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Collect, review, and organize subcontractor safety documentation (plans, training records, certifications, licenses, etc.) - Maintain electronic files and compliance trackers; monitor outstanding items and approvals - Track expiration dates and follow up for updated documentation - Support subcontractor onboarding and readiness prior to start - Coordinate with PMs, site leadership, and safety team; assist with audits/inspections as needed REQUIREMENTS - High school diploma/GED - Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills - Strong communication skills (email/phone) - Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel); ability to learn document management/compliance platforms PREFERRED - Experience in construction safety admin, document control, or subcontractor coordination - Familiarity with safety documentation (safety plans, JHAs, training/cert records)
