Safety Coordinator – Structural Steel Erection

Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the safe execution of structural steel erection projects. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of construction safety experience, with a strong preference for experience in structural steel erection. This individual will work closely with field leadership to promote a strong safety culture, ensure OSHA compliance, and minimize jobsite risks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and new hire orientations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist field leadership with hazard identification and risk mitigation.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and training records.
• Monitor fall protection, rigging, crane operations, and PPE compliance.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all project sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in structural steel erection.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
