Safety Manager

A respected commercial builder in the western Chicago suburbs is looking for a Safety Manager to lead its field safety program. You'll be the go-to person on site for keeping crews safe, building a strong safety culture and working side by side with project teams.

What You'll Do

• Lead the safety program across multiple active commercial projects

 Run site inspections and audits, and f•ollow up on corrective actions

• Deliver orientations, toolbox talks and OSHA-focused training for staff and trade partners

• Review subcontractor safety plans, JHAs and site-specific safety plans

• Investigate incidents and near misses, track trends and report findings to leadership

• Partner with superintendents and project managers to plan safe work from day one

What You Bring

 5+ years of construction safety experie•nce with a general contractor or construction manager

• OSHA 30 required; CHST, ASP or CSP is a plus

• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards

• Confident, approachable communication with field crews and leadership alike

• Willingness to travel between jobsites around the Chicago area

What We Offer

• Pay range: $100,000–$130,000 per year, based on experience
