    Job Description

    Company Overview:

    Position Overview:

       Assist in controlling safety and quality standards through fair, consistent review of operations and personnel.

    Essential Duties:

    1.   Perform random safety audits and assist with training and coaching of plant employees
    2.  Perform random quality audits and assist with all aspects of the quality process including training and coaching of plant employees.
    3.  Communicate safety and quality concerns and resolutions with supervisors, maintenance, HR and plant employees.
    4.  Keep detailed records of safety and quality concerns and resolutions
    5.  Follow up on outstanding safety and quality concerns as needed
    6. Lead & Maintain active Safety Committee membership
    7.  Complete weekly eye wash station audit, monthly fire extinguisher/first aid kit/AED audit and monthly emergency lighting/exit light audit
    8.  Complete monthly cart wash bin test audits
     
    Secondary Job Duties:
    1.  Fill in on machines as needed
    2.  Other duties as assigned
     
    Responsible for other duties as assigned
     
    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    1.  Regular attendance
    2.  Must be able to read, write, perform basic math and have above average interpersonal communication and motivational skills.
    3.  Fluent in Excel, Word and basic computer programs
    4.  High level of organization and attention to details
    5.  Flexible scheduling
    6.  Fluent in all plant safety policies and quality standards
    7.  Must be able to perform essential functions and meet minimum work standards with, or without accommodations
    8. Must receive OSHA 30 Certification within first 6 months in position. Certification must stay current throughout employment duration
     
    Safety and Regulatory Compliance
     
    • Maintains a safe working environment and continually trains employees in safety awareness.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
    • Monitor and ensure all regulatory compliance requirements impacting operations.
     

      Supervision

    • Works under the direct supervision of the General Manager & HR Manager.

    Job Qualifications

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
    • Ability to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and employees Must be able to communicate with and train others.
    • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
    • Ability to maintain control and organization in a constantly changing environment.
    • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
    • Ability to use knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives.
    • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
     

    Work Experience:

    • 5 years supervisory/management experience, preferably in laundry operations or similar environment.
     

    Education:

    • High School Diploma
     

    Working Conditions

    Physical Work Demands
    • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily for long periods.
    • Able to walk an extensive number of hours.
    • Able to lift to 25 pounds or more
    Mental Work Demands
    • Regular and on-time attendance.
    • Variable work hours - (Hours occasionally exceed 40 hours per week)
    • Works well with others.
    • Self-motivated
