Transdev is hiring Safety Trainers at our WMATA location. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.Transdev is proud to offer:

Competitive compensation Minimum 27.26/hourly - Maximum $32.08/hourly

Benefits include:

Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Sick days: 5 days

Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroomand/ or behind-the-wheel training to new operators or re-training of current operators. May provide other training to location personnel.
  • Tracks attendees and maintains training documentation based on regulations and company policy
  • While the focus is on driver training, employee may also have other safety program responsibilities (e.g., accident investigation, forms compliance, safety meetings).
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 -3 years training experience
  • 1 -3 years transportation, safety or related experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding safety
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, & Powerpoint
  • Good verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions, work alone and in remote locations.

  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
