JOB SUMMARY
The Safety and Training Officer is responsible for all aspects of loss control and loss reduction initiatives for the City of Stamford and the Board of Education and will interact directly with management and employees to fulfill the requirements of this position, may perform other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, in safety, loss prevention, risk management or a related field with professional experience in training and development, preferable in the public sector. Authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer certification, with completion of recent OSHA 10 & 30 hour training.
SCOPE OF EXAMINATION: There will be no written examination for this position. Interested candidates must submit a resume and a letter of interest at the time of application outlining their qualifications, relevant experience, and interest in the Risk Manager position.
