Location: Near Johnstown, NY
Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000
Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Safety & Wellness Coordinator to support workplace safety, employee well-being, and regulatory compliance. This role plays a vital part in fostering a culture where employees feel safe, supported, and empowered to do their best work.

The ideal candidate enjoys a balance of hands-on coordination, data analysis, and collaboration, and is passionate about injury prevention, wellness initiatives, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate workplace safety programs, injury prevention initiatives, and OSHA compliance efforts
• Manage workers' compensation claims, employee injury reporting, and return-to-work processes
• Support and promote employee wellness programs focused on health, attendance, and injury reduction
• Track, analyze, and report safety incidents, injury trends, and workers' compensation data
• Partner with leadership and internal teams to improve safety practices and employee well-being
• Develop and deliver safety and wellness communications and training
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with applicable policies and regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional certification (e.g., Safety, Health, Nursing,                   Therapy, Wellness, or similar)
• 2–4 years of experience in safety, wellness, HR, or workers' compensation
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and present information to individuals or groups
• Comfortable working with data, reporting, and tracking metrics
• Valid driver's license
