About the role

The Sales & Events Manager at Ascension Coffee Company is responsible for driving revenue growth throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market, with a primary focus on expanding wholesale coffee partnerships with restaurants, offices, and other businesses, while also increasing catering sales and private event bookings across our café locations. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with a proven track record in outside sales, business development, and relationship management.

This is a full-time, salaried exempt position reporting directly to the Director of Operations. The Sales & Events Manager works closely with the Director of Culinary, Marketing Manager, Roastery Team, and Café General Managers to develop and execute sales strategies, enhance client experiences, and support overall business growth.

The position requires a minimum commitment of 45 hours per week and includes a blend of office-based work, prospecting, client meetings, sales calls, networking, and on-site event support at café locations. This is an in-person role and is not eligible for remote work.

Role Expectations

  • Build knowledge of Ascension’s coffee, food, beverage, catering, and event offerings.
  • Generate new wholesale, catering, and private event business through prospecting and networking.
  • Manage leads, qualify opportunities, and schedule client meetings.
  • Present and sell Ascension’s products and services to prospective customers.
  • Meet sales activity goals and achieve quarterly revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate customer and prospect records in CRM systems.
  • Provide exceptional service to both new and existing clients.
  • Represent Ascension at community, industry, and promotional events throughout DFW.
  • Develop customized catering and event menus and pricing proposals.
  • Partner with café, culinary, marketing, and operations teams to deliver successful events.
  • Communicate professionally and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.
  • Support on-site execution of private events and catering programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Passion for specialty coffee, hospitality, food, and beverage experiences.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in coffee, foodservice, catering, or hospitality.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close business.
  • Self-starter with excellent organization and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, and related technology tools.
  • Collaborative team player who values feedback and open communication.
  • Willingness to travel locally throughout DFW and attend 1–2 industry events annually.
  •  Available to work some evenings and weekends for events.
