About the Role
This is a founding SDR seat on the sales team of a fast-growing, venture-backed fintech payments platform serving SMBs in construction, manufacturing, and trades. You will be the first voice prospects hear, working a healthy blend of inbound leads and outbound prospecting to book qualified meetings for Account Executives. The role comes with a genuine, fast-track path to a full-cycle AE position for top performers, typically within six to seven months.
The ideal candidate brings one to three years of outbound SDR or BDR experience in B2B SaaS or fintech, knows how to hit high-volume daily activity targets, and can clearly speak to their quota numbers and process. You are metrics-driven, comfortable picking up the phone, and genuinely excited about shaping sales motion at an early-stage company still defining how it goes to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a blended book of inbound leads and warm or cold outbound prospects, with roughly two-thirds inbound and one-third outbound daily
- Complete approximately 100 high-quality outreach activities per day across calls, emails, and touchpoints targeting SMBs with $5M to $25M in annual revenue
- Qualify prospects by surfacing real AP, AR, and cashflow pain points before handing off cleanly to Account Executives
- Collaborate in person with sales, product, and leadership to iterate on messaging, sequences, and overall sales motion
- Develop deep product knowledge across AR, AP, and banking tools to support a ramp toward full-cycle selling
- Build multi-threading habits and stakeholder mapping skills in preparation for a future AE closing role
- Use HubSpot and AI-assisted sales tools to track activity, manage pipeline, and keep data clean and actionable
- Contribute ideas that improve process, not just execute against them, as a true founding team member

- Experience working in-person in a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizens and green card holders only)
- Must be able to commute to Dumbo, Brooklyn five days per week
Preferred Skills
- Background in fintech, payments, or a construction-adjacent industry
- Experience at a high-growth, VC-backed startup from seed through Series B
- Motivated by a clear, structured path to an AE or closing role
- Experience selling to non-technical buyers or SMB decision-makers
- Experience managing a small, focused book of accounts with fewer than 100 customers
- Collegiate athletic or competitive sports background
