Acutronic is looking for a Sales Engineer to join Austin, TX team.  This role would be responsible for responding to customer requirements for new and existing systems and components and then generating proposals for these systems and components. 

Sales Engineer 

Your Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to generate technical proposals, costs back-up sheets, quotation documents, budgetary estimates, cover letters, compliance matrices, and other customer requested documentation
  • Approach existing and new customers to promote the sales Aerospace Component Division products, in order to responsibly grow revenues, assist in managing commercial and technical risks, and meeting overall financial objectives
  • Follow-up on open opportunities to understand the order timing, budget, and likelihood
  • Assist in the capture of major opportunities for the Aerospace Components Division
  • Transfer orders to Engineering, Project and Program Management to clearly define customer requirements.
  • Create/update product presentations, datasheets, technical notes, quotation templates and standard budgets to support Acutronic sales, marketing and productization efforts
  • Evaluate applicability of current products for customer use and understand customer requirements for new product designs
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers
  • Help diagnose problems with installed equipment and work with engineering to identify solutions that satisfy the customer
  • Develop sales plans to introduce products into new markets and customers
  • Conduct market analysis using tools to understand existing customers and platforms, identify new customers and platforms and to determine future product development
  • Contribute and maintain the development of a sales forecast as to meet sales objectives for Aerospace Components
  • Maintain customer relationship management systems, supporting sales operations.
  • Host proposal and purchase order contract kick off meetings

Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • At least two years of sales experience in the aerospace components industry preferred
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered
  • 10-15% domestic travel required to support customer / supplier
