The Sales Closer is an experienced automotive sales professional selected to support multiple sales functions within the dealership. This position serves as a key member of the sales leadership team by assisting Sales Consultants in closing vehicle transactions, maintaining exceptional Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) performance, and ensuring every customer receives professional, transparent, and seamless purchasing experience.
This role requires proven experience in automotive sales, deal closing, customer relationship management, and CSI excellence. The Sales Closer must be adaptable and capable of transitioning between multiple responsibilities throughout the day based on dealership needs while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position. This list is illustrative only and is not intended to be all-inclusive.
 
· Serve as a Sales Closer for the dealership franchise brand(s) as assigned, assisting Sales Consultants in successfully closing vehicle transactions while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
· Meet or exceed established individual monthly sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction goals while supporting the dealership's overall sales objectives.
· Participate in every vehicle transaction to ensure pricing, profitability, compliance, financing, and delivery requirements are achieved in accordance with dealership policies.
· Assist Sales Consultants in presenting proposals, overcoming objections, negotiating terms, and closing vehicle sales.
· Structure deals in partnership with Sales Management to maximize profitability while maintaining a customer-focused sales process.
· Ensure every customer is properly transitioned to the Finance & Insurance (F&I) Department and communicate the customer's profile, needs, and buying objectives to support the appropriate presentation of finance and protection products.
· Protect and promote dealership Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) standards by ensuring each customer receives a professional, transparent, and seamless purchasing experience.
· Maintain current knowledge of all assigned vehicle brands, models, trim levels, incentives, manufacturer programs, financing options, lender programs, and dealership promotions.
· Assist management in evaluating customer trade-in vehicles and support inventory decisions by maintaining awareness of vehicle availability, inventory levels, and customer demand.
· Assist the Sales Desk in preparing retail pricing, payment options, and deal presentations for customers.
· Monitor daily sales activities by reinforcing prospecting efforts, appointment setting, appointment confirmations, customer follow-up, and adherence to dealership sales processes.
· Communicate clear expectations regarding deal structure, documentation, and customer service standards with Sales Consultants throughout the sales process.
· Identify individual coaching opportunities for Sales Consultants and provide ongoing guidance to improve performance, closing effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
· Lead by example by maintaining professionalism, integrity, accountability, and ethical business practices while fostering a positive, high-performing sales environment.
· Promote professional conduct and teamwork by ensuring Sales Consultants represent the dealership in a respectful, customer-focused manner at all times.
· Work collaboratively with Sales Management, Finance, Business Development, Service, and other dealership departments to ensure efficient operations and an outstanding customer experience.
· Participate in dealership meetings, manufacturer training, sales training, and continuous professional development opportunities.
· Ensure all required sales documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
· Assist in resolving customer concerns promptly and professionally in a manner that promotes customer retention and protects the dealership's reputation.
· Maintain a professional appearance and represent the dealership with the highest level of courtesy, integrity, and professionalism.
· Comply with all company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and safety requirements.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or the equivalent.
· Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
· 3-5 years previous successful and measurable automotive sales experience preferred.
· Valid Driver’s License
· A professional appearance and customer-oriented attitude.
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills; well organized and self-motivated.
· Know and understand the federal, state and local laws, which govern retail
