The organisation has exceptionally strong employee tenure, reflecting its commitment to people, continuous improvement, and long-term career development.Job DescriptionDevelop and strengthen relationships with existing OEM customers to increase market share and drive revenue growth.Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within targeted industries and customer accounts.Build relationships with engineering, procurement, operations, and executive stakeholders to understand customer requirements and future product needs.Create and execute strategic account plans aligned with annual sales and profitability objectives.Drive commercial growth while managing account performance, profitability, and pricing strategies.Partner with engineering and product development teams to support new product introductions and customer-driven innovation.Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive position.Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to improve customer service, operational performance, and account management processes.Contribute to long-term business planning, growth initiatives, and strategic sales objectives.Track performance against key sales metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organisation.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will bring a successful track record in OEM manufacturing sales and possess the ability to develop strong commercial relationships within technically focused environments.Key requirements include:Proven experience selling into OEM manufacturing environments.Strong business development and account management capability.Ability to engage confidently with engineers, procurement professionals, operations teams, and senior decision-makers.Experience selling technical products, engineered solutions, components, or manufactured products.Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand customer applications and technical requirements.Demonstrated success identifying and closing new business opportunities.Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.Strategic mindset balanced with a hands-on approach to customer engagement.Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and leadership teams.Preferred backgrounds may include:Plastic injection moulding.Engineered plastic components.Metal components or fabricated products.Agriculture or construction equipment.Outdoor power equipment.Engine systems and related components.Powersports, recreational vehicle, or related OEM markets.What's on OfferCompetitive base salaryJoin a fast-growing division within a stable, well-established manufacturer.Strong benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401(k).Collaborative culture with excellent engineering and leadership support.Opportunity to make a direct impact on business growth and customer strategy.Long-term career progression and development potential.Flexible location optionsJob SummarySector: SalesSub Sector: New Business DevelopmentIndustry: Industrial / ManufacturingWhere: DetroitContract Type: Permanent
