The Sales Manager sets sales goals based on a thorough knowledge of selling patterns within their assigned territory. The Sales Manager ensures all direct reports receive the training and development necessary for success. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.

You will:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and execute sales goals for the area
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas
  • Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and expense reduction
  • Stay current with new trends, economic indicators, and competitor activity
  • Select, recruit, coach, and counsel team members to ensure strong results
  • Together with the team, build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key customers
  • Partner with the team to nurture and develop new customer opportunities
  • Manage, develop, coach, counsel, and motivate the sales team
  • Educate the sales team through regular meetings, seminars, and training.

You have:

  • 5+ years of sales experience (Jan/San or Food Service)
  • 3+ years of sales leadership experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent strategic & creative problem-solving skills
  • Local geographic market knowledge
