Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Define and execute a sales plan for business development in target markets, aligned to company strategy
• Set sales goals, manage the opportunity pipeline, and improve sales funnel management
• Meet or exceed company bookings budget and agreed sales metrics
• Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities and product line diversification
• Initiate and cultivate relationships with current, new, and historical customers
• Develop a tradeshow engagement plan with corresponding budget and represent the company at conferences and networking events
• Monitor customer needs, competitor activity, procurement trends, and market developments to inform decision-making
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and Customer Service to align customer requirements with company capabilities
• Manage and develop direct reports, including annual performance evaluations, goal setting, and conflict resolution
• Build product line and company knowledge, and gain proficiency in sales and customer service processes
• Gain proficiency with the Visual ERP system, including Smart Views reporting
• Lead process improvement initiatives across sales and customer service
• Travel regularly as required by business needs
• Work safely and cooperatively across office and production floor environments
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Military and commercial sales experience, both domestic and global
• Strong technical background with ability to read engineering drawings and engage in technical discussions
• Working knowledge of the DoD bid and proposal (B&P) process
Onsite in South Windsor, CT; standard schedule Monday–Thursday 7:30AM–5:00PM and every other Friday 7:30AM–4:00PM
