    Sales and Marketing Manager

Chicago, IL | Electronic Component Solutions | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

    Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000

    Employment: Full-Time / Direct Hire

    About the Opportunity

A well-established, globally recognized manufacturer of electronic components is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to lead its North American commercial operation. This division operates within a Fortune 200 industrial platform and is positioned for aggressive growth in key market segments. The role carries full P&L accountability and direct leadership of the North American sales organization.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop and execute annual and long-range sales and marketing strategies aligned with financial and growth objectives
    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team — setting targets, building accountability structures, and driving a results-oriented culture
    • Establish and manage territory strategies, account plans, and pipeline health across key customers and market segments
    • Own distributor relationships end-to-end — performance reviews, pricing strategy, forecasting, and expansion or consolidation decisions
    • Leverage value-based selling methodologies and Voice of Customer insights to sharpen the division's value proposition
    • Identify and drive cross-selling opportunities within the broader corporate product portfolio
    • Partner with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions to optimize profitability and return on capital
    • Monitor and respond to competitive, customer, and market changes with proactive commercial actions
    • Collaborate across functions and business units to align resources, preserve existing business, and capture new growth
    • Drive pricing discipline and contract development in alignment with corporate standards and margin objectives

    What You'll Need

    • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree preferred
    • 5+ years of progressive sales and/or marketing experience with a documented track record of revenue growth and market share expansion
    • 2+ years of direct team management experience with demonstrated ability to build and sustain high-performance sales cultures
    • Proven experience implementing sales strategies — including pricing, market segmentation, competitive positioning, and distributor management — that have delivered measurable results
    • Strong analytical capability; ability to translate complex data into actionable commercial strategy
    • Experience managing distribution channel partners at both strategic and operational levels
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at VP/GM level internally and at senior management level externally
    • Ability to travel 30% or more
    • Electrical engineering background is a plus

    Why This Role

This is a high-autonomy commercial leadership role inside a well-capitalized, globally recognized platform — offering the strategic scope of a division GM with the resources and stability of a Fortune 200 parent. For a sales leader ready to own a P&L, build a team, and drive real market growth, this is the seat.
