Plan daily production schedule with plant and sales management.
Provide guidance to the production team in tactical plans to meet customer needs.
Analyze current customer base sales and determine the best courses of action.
Work closely with plant management day-to-day for best service practices to customers.
Resolve problems concerning customer issues, transportation, and logistics systems.
Analyze the financial impact of the current sales mix, make modifications as needed, and recommend changes to senior management.
Actively check and verify processes and order progress on the production floor.
Sell excess residual product as needed.
Coordinate with R&D staff on samples and new product runs for samples.
Work both in the plant and office environment to verify production and adherence to specs & plans.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent of experience in production planning and/or scheduling.
Strong management and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work within the team concepts.
Ability to understand complex customer/production issues, derive solutions, and communicate to all levels of management.
Must be able to solve basic math problems.
Competency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Database and accounting skills are a plus.
Some travel may be required. Less than 10%.
